His Roommate's Pleasure by Lana McGregor

His Roommate's Pleasure - Lana McGregor

Well, sadly this was only ok for me.

I couldn't emotionally connect with the characters to really appreciate the shyness and naive stumbling in the BDSM world or the stages they went through to know each other better and become a couple. My greatest peeve was probably the short amount of time it took for Adam and Josh to start their sexual exploration, since they had been practically strangers for the 6 months they had known each other.

It also seemed weird the way they would both confirm several times they were into trying something, not to mention that Adam seemed to find almost everything connected to BDSM arousing. I won't argue with that, I too find an attraction to it but not everything in it. And I suppose that is what I was expecting to see in Adam. A draw to the BDSM lifestyle but still some uncertainty or limits to what he wanted to try. But there was nothing. All of a sudden, he had discovered the world of BDSM and couldn't get enough. Hard to believe that in all his 18 / 20 years of life he had, not once, come across something BDSM related and discovered he was drawn to it. Even without the benefit of the world wide web and him being a recluse, that just pushed my incredulity limit.

Another thing that took me out of the story was the attempt to outline their life outside the BDSM games. Hard to accomplish this in less than 100 pages and still focus on the evolving D/S relationship. I would rather have the author focused on only one plot line. As a result, I was rather dissatisfied with both.

A fluffy BDSM story, as I heard another member refer to this. It will definitely cater to those interested in trying out BDSM stories for the first time. It just didn't push my buttons.
