Invisible - Jeff Erno Short little story about a kid being bullied at school.

The writing had the feel of a spoken speech, rather than thoughts. Chase is the perfect example of a young man coming to terms with his sexuality and unable to fit in to the stereotype forced by high school, thus getting picked on.

The fairy tale like atmosphere comes in when his fantasy lover (Trent) stands in front of the whole classroom and details how exactly he's been made fun (definitely not something I'd enjoy, no matter how well intended the speaker would be) and vows to put a stop to it from then onwards. Everyone is in tears over the emotional speech (minus the head bully) and Chase finishes Oral Communication class feeling no longer invisible.

Sadly, I couldn't connect with Chase to appreciate this more than the 2 stars I gave it.
